Love Thy Nature
On Valentine’s Day, I treated myself to a walk around Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, a beloved arboretum in Reno. I was only a few yards into the botanical garden when I stumbled upon a life-size arch made of papier-mache hearts with a neon sign “Marry Me” in the center. While the intended audience was probably on their way, I marveled at how nature always offers us an abundance of love and wonder when we least expect it.
You don’t obviously have to wait until Valentine’s Day (or Galentine’s Day) to shower your loved ones or the environment with love (in fact, it should be a daily practice). Green Trotter exists to point you in the right direction toward sustainable products you’ll love and made with a low carbon footprint. The nature walk got the creative juices, and I couldn’t wait to hunt for ethically made, fashionable wears with a heart at the center.
