Her Green Wear: Audrey

Audrey Hepburn was more than a fashion icon; I would go so far as to call her an early champion of sustainable fashion. In Intimate Audrey, a new biography by her son Sean Hepburn Ferrer and Wendy Holden, Hepburn favored an edited wardrobe built around high-quality staples: pants, tops, dresses, and purposeful shoes. Accessories kept those limited garments fresh, especially the scarf, which held personal meaning for Hepburn after she found an elegant second-hand scarf in a bin of donated clothing that had been distributed to people in countries recently occupied by Germany during World War II. In homage to the truly magnificent Audrey, here are several eco-options inspired by her iconic looks.
