Copenhagen Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026 (Aug 2025)

It’s a sizzling, summer day, and all I can think about is Spring! Spring fashion that is – like the cool, airy trends that dominated the runways at the Copenhagen Fashion Week (CFW) held in early August. Regarded as the fifth global fashion week, Copenhagen has hosted sustainable designers since 2006. I first learned about CFW when I launched my personal styling business that same year. It was exciting to see ethical fashion claiming recognition as a contributor to the industry’s future. In 2020, and the CFW Council rolled out 19 mandatory requirements for sustainability for brands, raising industry standards.  While other fashion capitals have risen to the challenge, unfortunately, the CFW has met criticism for misleading, or “greenwashing”, the public about how far the standards go and whether full attainment is possible. From the reviews on the runway, the CFW continues to show us what to expect.

Starting with accessories, the scarf is showing its versatility. More aptly a wide handkerchief as the go-to belt for cinching a waistline. While it may not be for everyone, the scarf can still find its way around the neck as the perfect complement to a suit or V-neck top. Opt for organic cotton for a structured fit, other options include linen, lyocell, or bamboo.

If scarves are not your thing, then tassel up! The adornment has found a home on belts, earrings, bags, and tops.

Outwear took center stage to complete a look. For a business casual vibe, pair a lightweight organic cotton jacket with shorts and a t-shirt or button-down top.

The Spring 2026 color palette plays with red poppy, orange, and plum. Balance this fruit cocktail with a go to neutral like beige or grey.
